What is a collection ? |
| A collection allows you to store your photos about a same theme or event file. You can create as many collections as you need in your Joomeo space. |

How do I allow access to my friends or family to my collection OF PHOTOS AND VIDEOS ? |
When you create a new collection, it will be private by default.
To allow access to a collection, you just have to slide the contact or group from your contacts list to the collection and it will automatically be allowed to view the collection.
You can also edit the collection and slide the contacts or groups you wish to associate with the collection in the zone « allowed contacts list to view the collection » , on the edition panel.
Or, from the edition panel, you can click on the "allow all contacts" option, to allow every contact to view the collection. |

How do I know if one of my collection is Private or restricted ? |
A private or restricted collection has an icon associated to a lock.
To know if a collection is restricted you have to edit it or leave the mouse on the collection icon for 1 second , the list of allowed contacts will then appear.
A public collection (allowed to all contacts) has a file looking icon. |

How can I make one of my collections private again ? |
Simply by deleting all the contacts from the list associated to the collection.
Delete all contacts from the "allowed contacts list to view the collection " list in the edition panel. Once the list is empty, the collection becomes private again and no one can view it anymore. |

What does "size" mean in the creation panel of a collection ? |
| It is the maximum size for the display of the photos in slideshow or full screen mode. That size remains limited to guarantee a certain fluidity of display, even if your contacts have a small bandwidth. The photos are nevertheless published in their original sizes if you choose to during the upload process options. Then your contacts will download the photos at the size you have chosen to upload them if it is available. |

I would like to sort my collection, how do I do ? |
Joomeo offers 3 different ways of sorting your collections as of today :
• sort by date
• sort by name (alphabetic order)
• sort manually
To choose the sorting method to apply to the current collection of photos, simply select the one you want from the drop-down menu "Sort" located at the upper right side in the bar of the collection’s header. |

You can simply drag&drop the photo to the location you want. |

What happens if I delete a shared collection with friends ? |
| When your friends will go to your Joomeo space, the deleted collection will simply not appear anymore. |

| The albums |

What is the difference between an album and a collection ? |
Collections are used to store your photos. The album allows you to organize your photos in another way. The photos in the albums are shortcuts to the collections.
BEWARE : If you delete a picture from a collection that will automatically delete it from the albums it was included in. |

How do I add photos in an album ? |
| There are two ways of adding photos in an album. You can either drag/drop from a collection or an album, or by clicking on "convert selection in album" in the "actions" menu in the temporary zone of selection. |

Why photos in the albums do not use storage space ? |
| The photos in your albums are nothing else but shortcuts to your collections, hence they do not use any storage space. |

How to import photos in my Joomeo space ? |
| To get your photos online and quickly simply click on the “Import photos” button, then from the file selector choose the photos to upload and validate your choice. |

Who can view my photos ? |
| Joomeo is a private sharing photos tool. This means that your photos are not viewable by anybody. Only the identified contacts added to your contacts list can access to your Joomeo space and view the collections/albums of photos you allowed them to see. |

What is the size of the photos during the publication process ? |
| If you activate the option "keep original size" your photos will be published in their original size, if not they are reduced to the selected size for the collection (from 640x480 to 1600x1200). |

What is the maximum size of the photos I can put online ? |
The maximum size for a picture that you can put online is :
• 10 MB for a Free account.
• 20 MB for a Privilege account.
• 30 MB for a VIP account.
• 100 MB for an Infinite account. |

Which are the picture formats supported by Joomeo ? |
Joomeo Free version supports JPEGs, GIFs and PNGs formats. Joomeo VIP supports TIFF in addition to the formats of the free offer and Joomeo Infinite supports in addition RAW format (without preview). |

What is the use of the "publish the collection in website" button ? |
The button "publish the collection in website" allows you in just 1 click to create an html code you can insert on any web page, blog, forum… this code allows you to load an applet Flash that will automatically set a slideshow of the selected collection. It also allows you to display the slideshow in full screen.
You can also copy/paste the internet link to publish a slideshow in full screen mode in a mail, forum, blog,... |

How to copy a photo from a collection or album to another ? |
| Just drag/drop the photo from a collection or album to another. |

| Place the photos you want to copy in the “photos selection zone”, select the destination collection or album, then from the “ACTION” button of the “selection zone” click on “Add the photos of your selection zone in ...”. |

How to move a photo from a collection to another ? |
| Moving a photo from a collection to another is impossible. However, you can copy it to the selected collection by using the drag/drop then delete it from the original collection. |

What is the use of rating ? |
| Rating allows you to evaluate your photos and make it easier to find them later depending on the rate. But soon we will add a new functionality called “intelligent albums “ that will automatically gather the photos with the selected ratings and much more… |

How can I print a photo ? |
| Soon, Joomeo will allow you to order photoprints online. For the moment you can only download your HD photos and print them yourself or order a photoprint to your nearest photolab. |

What the selection zone of photos is used for ? |
| This zone of selection allows you to drag photos from several collections and to do whatever you like with all the pictures in the selection (create an album, view as a slideshow, download, delete…). |

WHAT ARE THE FORMATS OF VIDEOS THAT I CAN PUT ONLINE ? |
| Joomeo supported video formats are : AVI, MPEG, WMV, MOV and M4V. |

| Just click on the “Import photos” button (no distinction is made between photo and video inside Joomeo), then from the file selector choose the videos to upload and validate your choice. |

CAN I WATCH VIDEOS DIRECTLY FROM MY JOOMEO SPACE ? |
| No, actually this version of Joomeo don’t allow you to see directly a video from your space. You can only store and share your videos. For viewing a video, you or your contacts need to download the video on their desktop and use the appropriate tool to read it. Downloading a video is the same operation as downloading a photo. |

Can my contacts download my photos ? |
| Yes, by default, all the contacts who are allowed to view your collections can download the photos or videos. You can however for every contact, specify whether they are allowed to download the photos of the collection they are allowed to view. |

What does my invited contacts see when they connect to my Joomeo space ? |
| Each contact only sees the collections and albums you have allowed him access to. |
|

How do I know Who has access to a collection or an album ? |
The public collections/albums (no lock on the file icon) can be viewed by any of your contacts.
The restricted collections/albums (lock on the file icon) can only be viewed by the authorized contacts associated with those. To know who is on the authorized contacts list, you have 2 possibilities :
• Leave the mouse on the name of the collection/album in the photographic library; an info bubble will appear showing the authorized contacts list.
• Edit the collection or album by double clicking it, the authorized contacts will be in the "allowed contacts list to view the collection/album" zone. |

How to keep my contacts informed of my updates on my Joomeo space ? |
Automatically inform about the updated collection/album by clicking on the button "Alert on updates".
In the case of a public collection or album all your contacts will receive the following message (that can be peronalized) :
[Firstname] [ Lastname] has updated the collection [Name] of the collection and invites you to come view it on his/her Joomeo space.

In the case of a restricted collection or album, only the authorized contacts will receive the message.

Can my contacts delete or modify the legends on my photos ? |
| No, you are the only person who can create or modify a legend on your photos. |

How do I prevent a contact to download my photos ? |
| To prevent a contact from downloading your photos from a collection/album, you must edit the later, and desactivate the option "allowed to download photos" on the contact in question. |

Can my contacts publish their photos in one of my collections ? |
| By default a contact cannot publish any photos in your Joomeo space. However, by ticking the "allow uploading photos" box of the contact in the collection edition window, the contact will be authorized to upload the photos he wishes to add to your collection. |

Can my contacts publish their photos in one of my albums ? |
| No, your contacts cannot publish any photos in your albums since they only contain shortcuts to your collections. |
|

How do group of contacts work ? |
| Group of contacts are used to organize your contacts (family, friends, coworkers…). One contact may belong to several groups. When you drag a group on a collection or an album, you will add the contacts associated to the group to the collection or album. There is no link between the collections/albums and the groups. |

| The Hubs |

What is a hub ? |
A hub is a link to the collections or albums of an another user’s Joomeo space.
A hub is automatically created in the following case : if you appear as contact on other member’s Joomeo space with your reference email (email given when you created your Joomeo account).
If you were added to another Joomeo spaces with another emails address than your reference email, Joomeo will not create the link automatically. You can then create a hub manually by clicking on "create", then selecting "create new hub" and type the Joomeo space you wish to be connected to with your corresponding login and password. |

I do not see in my hubs a friend’s Joomeo space although he invited me ? |
| Your friend did most certainly invite you with a different email address than the one you are registered with. You can then create a hub manually by clicking on "create", then selecting "create new hub" and type the Joomeo space you wish to be connected to with your corresponding login and password. |

What are keywords ? |
| Keywords are like tags that you add to a photo to make it easier to find it later from the search engine (cf. Search engine). |

How to create a keyword ? |
| To create a keyword, you need to click on the button "open keywords editor" from the bottom right side of the main window or from the upper bar in the edit window . Once the keywords editor open, click on "add a new keyword", enter the keyword and validate. |

How to link a keyword to a photo ? |
| Just drag the selected keyword from the keyword editor on the current picture. |
|
|
 |
How to know which keywords are linked to a photo ? |
| Open the panel “Inspector” (button in the bottom right corner of the main window or edit window). If the item “Keywords” is not active then the photo has no keyword else just click on the item “Keywords” to see the list of keywords linked to the current picture. |

How to link one or several keywords to all the photos of a collection ? |
| Simply drag&drop one after the other keywords on the selected collection. |

How to execute a search ? |
You can execute a search either in a collection, an album or either in all the collections of your Joomeo space.
The search criteria are: keywords, date of recording and / or rate.
To execute a search just click on the magnifier (located on the upper right of the bar of collection header) , enter your keywords and validate.
If you specify multiple keywords in your search, only pictures with all those keywords appear in the result set.
If you specify a rating in your search, all photos with a rate greater or equal than the one you enter will be displayed in the output result. |

Lost your password ? |
Go to your Joomeo space and click the "MY PASSWORD ?" button. Fill the email address you used to subscribe to Joomeo and confirm.
You will receive an email shortly after. Click on the link given in the email to access the change password form. Choose your new password and confirm. You can immediately login with your new password after your form is validated. |

I cannot connect to the Joomeo space of a friend ? |
You may have forgotten the login and password your friend has created for you. Go to your friend’s Joomeo space and click on "MY PASSWORD ?", type your email and confirm. If your email address does not work try another since your friend did probably not invite you on his space with the email address you think he did. Once the email confirmed, you will receive an email giving you the necessary password and login to connect to your friend’s Joomeo space.
CAUTION : Login and password are both case sensitive, so you need to use EXACTLY the same capital and lower case letters when logging in, otherwise your log in will fail ! |

What OS and internet browser are supported by Joomeo ? |
Joomeo is compatible with any platform available on the market (PC, Mac, Linux) and supports any web browser (IE, Firefox, Safari, Opera, Shiira, etc…) as long as they are equipped with Flash 8.00 plugin or higher. |

HOW TO KNOW HOW MUCH Joomeo SPACE IS AVAILABLE ? |
The gauge located in the Joomeo toolbar tells you in real time your monthly level of storage space and the total size of your Joomeo space. Your monthly storage space allowance is reset to zero at the end of each calendar month.
For those who subscribe to the offer INFINITE, only the total space is used because the monthly consumption is unlimited. |

How and why sponsor a friend ? |
To sponsor a friend, you just need to use the Joomeo sponsor module. In your Joomeo space, click on "sponsor a Friend" and fill the friend email. Your friend will receive an email with the information necessary to take into account your sponsorship.

The calculated price takes into account the actual amount of your current subscription and your potential discounts and / or promotions. |

| Don’t panic. You will receive a follow up email that will invite you to renew your subscription within 10 days before its end. |

None of your photos have been deleted, the only difference is that you're now subject to the storage space allowance of a free account with the limit of storage space up to 150 MB of photos per month. |

How to end my subscription ? |
| The procedure is simple, you just have to wait that your subscription reaches its end without renewing it. |

How do I modify my avatar ? |
| You wish to customize the entry to your Joomeo space ? You can change your avatar by opening the preferences window, in "My account" column, "Personal Informations" thumb.
